Long time no talk. It’s indeed been a while.

I hope this email finds you happy, healthy, and enjoying this grand mysterious adventure known as human consciousness.

I've been keeping a low profile online the past few months, taking a break from social media, and seeing what it's like to be an actual human living a real life outside of my digital confines.

And guess what, life hasn’t disappointed.

In the last two months, I went from experiencing tremendous peace, inspiration, and joy during a meditation and spiritual growth retreat deep in the Sonoran desert to the heartache and shock of losing someone I love dearly. (If you're interested, you can read about that here.) These past weeks have been a testament to the incredible range of emotions we can experience from one moment to the next as human beings.

Life’s ability to blend joy and pain is truly remarkable.

They call it the 48-Hour Presence Challenge which aims to infuse more awareness, intentionality, and authenticity into your life.

// Trigger Relaxation On Command

The Countdown Deepening Technique: A Simple Way To Enter A Heightened Meditative State

This is one of my go-to methods for relaxation and entering the Alpha level of mind—a state of relaxed alertness ideal for influencing the subconscious mind.

Here's a brief overview of how it works:

  • In your mind, slowly count down from 10 to 1.
  • On each number, feel yourself getting more and more relaxed, letting go just a little bit more.
  • When you reach 1, jump into your meditation practice or repeat the countdown from 10 as many times as needed until you feel you are fully relaxed.

Optionally, you can do this while imagining you’re descending on an elevator. In this quick read, I share a sample guided practice for using this technique.
